About rentals and reservations
- Until what time do you accept reservations?
- If you would like to wear a Kimono and stroll around the Bikan Historical Quarter (more than 2 hours), please make a reservation by 2pm. For same-day reservations, please come directly to the store. We will guide you.
- How can I pay?
- Even if you make a reservation, you will be asked to pay at the store on the day. Payment can be made by cash or credit card.
- Is there anything I need to bring on the day?
- There is nothing to bring. Please wear innerwear appropriate for the season.
- Can I change to a different plan than what I booked?
- Yes, you can. Please speak to our staff.
- Can I go outside wearing a Kimono?
- Of course.
Just outside the restaurant is the world-famous tourist spot "Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter." Please enjoy taking photos and sightseeing.
- What happens if it rains on the day?
- If you have a washable kimono, you can go out even in light rain with an umbrella.
- What is the "Peace of Mind Guarantee"?
- You are free to eat and drink in a rental kimono, but if the kimono is damaged or stained, you will be required to pay the actual cost and purchase it. In order to reduce that worry, we ask that customers who rent kimonos sign up for the "Peace of Mind Guarantee". You can decide on the day. Please sign up for the guarantee.
The scope of the [Peace of Mind Guarantee] is limited to the extent that the item can be washed, repaired, or repaired. If the item becomes damaged or stained in a way that cannot be restored even after any repair, you will be required to pay the actual cost.
About Kimono and changing clothes
- I'm tall (or short), do you have your size?
- Kimono sizes are approximately 160cm for women and 155cm to 180cm for men. If you are unsure, please check the size with the staff on the day before choosing.
- Do you have hair accessories and bags?
- There are many hair accessories and pouches available for free rental. Please feel free to use them.
Hair styling and makeup
- Can I have my hair styled?
- If you make a reservation in advance, you will be taken to a beauty salon where a professional hairdresser will style your hair to match your Kimono. (5,000yen charge, reservation required, beauty salons are closed on Mondays)
- Can you do makeup?
- If you make a reservation in advance, you will be taken to a beauty salon where a professional hairdresser will apply your makeup. (4,000yen charge, reservation required, beauty salons are closed on Mondays)
About returning kimono
- What time should I return it by?
- Please finish changing and leave before closing time at 5:00 p.m.
Others
- Can I wear a Kimono and go to places outside the scenic area?
- That's fine, but please be back by the return time of 5:00 p.m.
- Is there a parking lot?
- There is no free parking.
